The World Social Forum in Africa

The World Social Forum (WSF) has come to be a key rally for activists from all over the world since it was first held in Porto Allegro, Brazil, in January 2001, under the slogan, Another World is Possible, the WSF has drawn hundreds of thousands of activists together against imperialism and neoliberalism.

In 2007, it will be held in Nairobi, Kenya. What is the significance of the WSF, and what are some of the debates activists are having about this event? This site will provide you with this information in regard to South African activists’ engagement with the WSF and related processes.
